Northwest Community Health Center (NWCHC) is looking for School Based Health Center Coordinator (SCC) to function as part of Northwest Community Health Center’s (NWCHC) primary care team working directly with students and staff at the organizations school-based health center (SBHC) sites.
The SCC represents NWCHC and supports the educational team to optimize learning opportunities by employing strategies which promote health, wellness, and safety. The SBHC framework works to reduce chronic absenteeism and supports educators in maximizing their efforts toward their primary role of instruction. This role relies on collaboration with teaching and leadership staff, the school nurse, and NWCHC provider teams.
The successful candidate will be a high school graduate from, and previous healthcare or care management experience is preferred. In addition, he/she will need to possess the ability to function independently and within NWCHC guidelines, policies, and standard protocols, show a desire to work with children and families, and provide excellent customer service.
The position is full time, and NWCHC is open to a year round or seasonal employment dependent on the candidate’s preference. Wage will be determined on credentials, experience and qualifications, and NWCHC offers competitive salary and benefits.
